PASS - Candidates state clearly the physicalentry requirement of one public service describing the form of the test and the standard required. They willbe able to recognise the physical nature of the public service work.
MERIT - Candidates give a thorough description of the use of fitness testing in one public service having
good knowledge of the test and standard required. They are able to link the test activities with specific
activities within the service.
DISTINCTION - Candidates explain in detail the use of fitness testing by one public service as part of their selection procedures,critically evaluating the test inrelation to the physical demands of that particular service.
AO1a - Firefighter Fitness Test
Below is a link to an A4 Template containg numerous firefighter fitness tests used to gain entry to the Greater Manchester Fire brigade. You must research the content of the test (what you have to do), the standards required (standards needed to pass) and the relevance of the test (how this test applies to real fire emergency's) and enter this information into the fields. You should put in as much detail as possible adding pictures where appropriate. This task must then be embedded into your blog.
